Rue is often used as a charm in a sachet carried or hung over the door to ward off evil spirits. It has also been known to aid in enhancing creativity & psychic abilities. In Italian folk magic Rue is the ultimate protection against the evil eye. It's protective powers span the spiritual, physical & emotional realms. Rue works beautifully in incense for Protection, Wisdom & Exorcism. 

Rue grows best when stolen while it's presence in ones garden protects it. Using a fresh sprig of Rue sprinkle salt water throughout the house to clear it of negativity.
